This is a high-impact role responsible for driving revenue, long-term strategic relationships, and shaping the future of our legal services proposition in the UK market. We already work with some of the largest insurers and insurance brokers in the UK, and the successful candidate will be expected to target new opportunities across the wider insurance services landscape as well as develop, deepen, and grow current relationships.
The successful candidate will have proven experience, preferably in the insurance, if not financial services sector, ideally with established networks in the corporate partnership space. This is a hybrid role, working 2 days a week from our Bradley Stoke office, but frequent travel will be expected and a company car provided.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own and lead all business development activity, including management of the full new business pipeline, bids and tenders, and delivery of ambitious growth targets.
- Develop and assist in the implementation of corporate partnerships, ensuring strong day-to-day relationships that drive multi-million-pound revenue and deliver mutual commercial success.
- Increase revenue and profit across both new and existing corporate partner relationships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Legal & Compliance, IT, operational teams, suppliers, and senior contacts across our partner organisations.
- Oversee the delivery of SLA and KPI performance across internal operations and external suppliers to ensure consistently high service standards.
- Support and lead a team of Business Development and Account Management professionals, maximising their performance and ensuring excellence in execution.
- Develop compelling customer propositions, identifying clear USPs and ensuring our products remain competitive, relevant, and customer-centred.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and partner feedback to shape ongoing proposition and operating model development.
What we’re looking for:
- A strong background in business development, corporate partnerships, and strategic account management—including winning, negotiating, and managing complex commercial contracts.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen, with a track record of delivering revenue growth and managing multi-million-pound partnerships.
- Experience overseeing supplier relationships, performance management, and MI reporting.
- Expertise in proposition development and shaping market-leading customer journeys.
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to operate at pace in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience leading or developing BD and account management teams.
