Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (Hiring Immediately)

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a school setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Proficiency in sign language and other assistive communication methods

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Collaborate with fellow educators to create an inclusive learning environment
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student development
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
