Job Description
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support elementary students in an engaging school environment in San Rafael, CA. This contract role spans the new school year, providing specialized speech and language services primarily through a pull-out model. The caseload, consisting of approximately 53 students, includes those with mild to moderate disabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to enhance student progress
- Supporting both resource program and special day class program students at one site
- Providing services exclusively to resource program students at the second elementary site
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid School SLP credential or eligibility
- Experience working with elementary-aged children
- Proficient in developing and implementing therapy plans for students with mild to moderate speech and language needs
