Full-Time School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico

Employment Type: Full-time

Contract Dates:2025-2026 School Year (July 30, 2025 June 2, 2026)

About the Role:

As a Full-Time SLP, you will manage a K-12 caseload of approximately 44 students. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services, fostering communication development, and supporting academic and social-emotional growth for a diverse student population. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders in students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) in close collaboration with students, families, educators, and other multidisciplinary team members.
  • Providing direct and indirect speech and language therapy services to students with a wide range of communication needs, including but not limited to articulation, phonology, language, fluency, voice, and social communication.
  • Monitoring student progress, documenting services, and updating IEPs as needed to ensure effective and compliant intervention.
  • Participating actively in IEP meetings, case conferences, and other relevant school meetings.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to seamlessly integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment and support overall student success.
  • Providing guidance and resources to school staff and families regarding communication disorders and effective support strategies.
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records in compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent from an accredited program.
  • Valid New Mexico Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license (or eligibility to obtain one prior to the start date).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with K-12 school-aged students, particularly in a school setting, is preferred.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills across diverse communication needs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and special education procedures.
