Job Description
A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought to provide specialized therapy services at an elementary school setting for students in grades 1 through 7. This contract position is for the normal school year (NSY) and offers a flexible schedule to accommodate professional and personal needs. The role entails delivering both individual and group therapy to a mixed caseload of approximately 18 students, including those with communication disorders, specific learning disorders, and Down syndrome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services in compliance with CCC-SLP standards.
- Work with students individually and in groups to address communication challenges.
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to support student progress.
- Document sessions and maintain accurate records of student performance.
- Adapt therapy plans based on ongoing assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged children (grades 1-7).
- Familiarity with diverse speech and language disorders, including communication deficits, specific learning disorders, and Down syndrome.
- Ability to work independently and manage a mixed caseload effectively.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
