Schools - Social Worker (Hiring Immediately)

An opportunity is available for a full-time Social Worker specializing in elementary education to provide comprehensive social-emotional support to students. This contract role will cover a leave of absence from August 19, 2024, through October 17, 2025, with consistent hours from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM. The position serves preschool through 4th-grade students, including responsibilities related to IEP and 504 plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver social-emotional services and interventions to students in preschool through 4th grade
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to support student well-being and development
• Manage caseload efficiently, ensuring compliance with individual education program (IEP) and 504 plan requirements
• Conduct assessments and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed to support students social and emotional needs

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
• Experience working with early childhood and elementary-aged students is preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP and 504 processes related to social work services
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment
