Job Description
School Social Worker – Near Delancey, New York
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small-group counseling services in alignment with students IEPs, 504 Plans, and Tier 2 or Tier 3 interventions identified through the MTSS mittee.
- Partner with families to identify and access munity-based resources that support students emotional and mental health needs.
- Serve as a member of the counseling team and support faculty in responding to occasional crisis situationssuch as student dysregulation or emotional distress
The candidatemust hold current and valid NYS certificationsand meet the following standards:
- NewYork State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or actively in process toward obtaining LCSW status, with supervision provided if pending.
- Alternatively,New York State Certified School Social Worker (C-SSW)credentials are acceptable.
- All appropriateMandated Reporter training, as required by New York State education regulations.
