Position Overview:

Soliant is seeking a passionate and collaborative School Social Worker to support our PreK program in Island Lake, IL for the 20252026 school year. This full-time role is integral in promoting social-emotional development, mental health, and family engagement for our youngest learners. The ideal candidate will be mitted to early childhood education and skilled in working within a team-based, student-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect social work services to PreK students and families

  • Support students social-emotional and behavioral development through early intervention

  • Collaborate with building-based teams, including:

  • Student Assistance Teams

  • Positive Behavior Intervention Systems (PBIS) Tiered Teams

  • Crisis Response Teams

  • Grade-Level Teams

  • Whole Faculty Study Groups

  • Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of IEPs and behavior plans

  • Liaise with families and munity resources to support student and family well-being

  • Promote a positive, inclusive school climate through prevention and support services

    Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker (SW) Endorsement

  • Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program

  • Experience with early childhood populations preferred

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, social-emotional learning (SEL), and MTSS

  • Strong interpersonal, munication, and advocacy skills
