An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to provide essential psychological services within a K-12 educational setting in West Hartford, CT. This contract position is ideal for individuals passionate about fostering the well-being and academic success of students through targeted psychological interventions and assessments.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral or Masters degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 students, demonstrating effective assessment and intervention skills
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and staff
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Cultural petency and mitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school munity
Location: West Hartford, CT
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and provide psychological evaluations for students
- Develop and implement appropriate interventions and behavior support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to promote student mental health and academic success
- Provide training and support to school staff on mental health best practices
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Engage with families to ensure continuity of care and support outside of school
