School Psychologist (Hiring Immediately)

A school district in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to support an elementary school population for the 20242025 school year. This contract position offers an opportunity to provide essential psychological services to students while collaborating with a dedicated educational team.

Position Details:

• Start Date: August 26, 2024
• End Date: June 10, 2025
• Location: Elementary school in Arlington Heights, IL
• Hours: MondayFriday, 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, following the school calendar
• Caseload: Approximately 380 elementary students

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for special education eligibility
• Participate as a team member in assessments and data review for students within the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework
• Provide crisis intervention support for students needing immediate psychological assistance
• Collaborate with district leadership to complete parochial school initial and reevaluations under guidance from the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services
• Offer psychological insight and recommendations without delivering direct IEP therapy minutes or sessions

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure appropriate for Illinois
• Experience working with elementary aged students in a school setting
• Strong understanding of special education evaluation processes and MTSS
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families
• Skilled in crisis assessment and intervention
