Job Description
A K-12 school in the Tampa, FL area is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a school health room position. This is a contract role spanning the academic year from August 11, 2025, through June 2026, with onsite responsibilities during regular school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general healthcare support within the school health room
- Administer basic nursing care and first aid to students
- Monitor student health and maintain accurate records
- Assist with medication administration and health assessments
- Float to different school locations as needed to support various campuses
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current LPN or ASN degree/license, with a minimum of 2 years nursing experience
- Pediatric experience and fort working with children in a school setting preferred
- Ability to work 37.5 hours per week, no more than 7.5 hours per day, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Willingness to obtain district-specific health prints/clearances (including a required $93 fee)
- Reliable transportation preferred; candidates should specify preferred work locations or zip codes within the county for scheduling considerations
