  • Strong base pay – £36,400 base salary and realistic OTE of £61,000, with top performers earning significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.
  • Demand‑led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime available.

Where you’ll work: You’ll be part of the Bournemouth cluster, covering areas such as Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne, Ringwood, Wareham and Swanage. Work is organised locally so you can start and finish at home, focusing your day on getting members back on the road in your local area.

What you’ll need:

  • A Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
  • A customer‑focused approach.
  • A full UK driving licence.

As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Whether it’s a flat battery, tyre change or complex fault‑finding, you’ll provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most. You’ll start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head‑on and making a real impact on the roadside by combining technical expertise with outstanding member service. We’ll set you up for success from day one – you’ll receive your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit.
