Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division – a new era of mobile repair. Competitive base salary of £40,170 with on‑target earnings up to £52,000, guaranteed overtime, and bonus opportunities. 40 hours per week, core 8:30 am–5:00 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
What to Expect
Your day starts with a clear digital schedule. Each job is pre‑booked, with the member expecting you. You’ll work through a scheduled list of jobs with the time, tools and support you need to do quality work, without emergency callouts or unpredictable shift patterns.
Responsibilities
- Routine servicing
- Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
- In‑depth repairs normally completed in a workshop
- Member advice and recommendations based on inspection

Qualifications
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
