Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician. As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of experience, you’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside—combining technical expertise with outstanding member service. The RAC provides you with a van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit on day one.
Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support (e.g., flat batteries, tyre changes, fault-finding).
- Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
- Work across the UK, with shifts that accommodate demand and provide opportunity for overtime.
What you’ll need
- Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
- Customer-focused approach.
- Full UK driving licence.
