Pay: $25.00 per hour
Position Summary:
A Developer at Basements Plus is a hybrid role blending Kitchen and Bath Design with office-based project management. This role is responsible for taking sold projects from the salesperson—complete with a contract, plan, and price sheet—and developing a buildable, detailed packet and project schedule. The Developer also coordinates and orders materials, ensuring a successful and smooth job execution. Proficiency in CAD software is required for drawing and editing floor plans. Ideal candidates are highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining strong communication with both homeowners and field project managers to bring visions to life.
Essential Job Functions:
- Receive job handoffs from Basement Specialists/Project Managers
- Meet with customers to finalize designs and material selections
- Manage change orders; obtain quotes from subcontractors and vendors
- Create detailed drawings and job documentation
- Order non-stock materials and track deliveries
- Deliver an excellent customer experience from design through completion
- Problem-solve design and on-site issues as they arise
- Maintain BuilderTrend and update the project schedule regularly
Position Requirements:
- Proficiency in 20/20 and/or Chief Architect software
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- 5+ years of experience in remodeling or construction
- 5+ years of experience in remodeling design and sales
- Strong background in cabinetry, kitchen, and bathroom design
- Self-motivated with strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Confident communicator with homeowners and subcontractors
- Flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
- Professional, forward-thinking demeanor
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experience managing the homeowner material selection process
- Familiarity with project management workflows and documentation
