Registered Veterinary Technician – Neurology
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus – No weekends!

As the Bay Area’s leader in specialty and emergency care, we’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Neurology team. If you have 5+ years of experience and a strong background in anesthesia, you’ll thrive in this fast-paced, high-impact environment.
About the Role
You’ll be hands-on in supporting patients through everything from intake to rehab. This is a role for a highly skilled, detail-oriented technician who wants to work at the cutting edge of veterinary medicine.
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor general anesthesia for surgical and advanced imaging cases
- Perform pre and post op assessments, including patient prep and recovery monitoring
- Manage anesthesia equipment and troubleshoot in real time
- Provide hands-on support during neurosurgeries and anesthetized procedures (spinal taps, etc)
- Accurately calculate and deliver medications, CRIs, and fluid therapy
- Place and maintain IV catheters, urinary catheters, and feeding tubes
- Support seizure patients and assist in emergency triage and stabilization
- Acquire detailed patient histories, provide fear-free patient restraint, and assist neurologists during patient neurologic exams
- Record and track vitals, behavior, pain scoring, and neurologic function
- Provide rehabilitation support to help post-op and paralyzed patients regain mobility
- Deliver client education with empathy and clarity
- Maintain detailed, accurate electronic medical records using practice management software
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Current CA RVT license (required)
- 5+ years of clinical experience, ideally in specialty or emergency medicine
- Advanced anesthesia knowledge and confidence in managing high-risk cases
- Strong skills in patient monitoring, drug calculation, and emergency support
- Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- Professional, compassionate communicator—team oriented and client experience focused
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-Time (3/12s) – Monday-Wednesday
- No weekends!
- Up to $40/hr plus a $5,000 Sign- On Bonus for new full-time team members
- $5.50/hr for any hours worked between 6pm-6am
