Job Description
RN – Obstetrics Emergency – Nights – $10,000 Sign-On Bonus!
OBED – Full-Time Position
Night Shift (7pm-7am)
$10k Sign-On Bonus!
Job Summary:
- Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
- Triages patients
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
- Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of tasks
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Texas
- 2+ years of OB / Labor and Delivery experience required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- Must have a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
- ACLS, BLS, AWHONN fetal monitoring, NRP, STABLE required
- Experience using: Fetal monitor (CPN), EMR (MT), pulse oximeter, Panda warmer
