Plumbing Trainer – Multi-State Opportunity

We’re actively seeking an experienced and motivated plumbing trainer to support our growing team across multiple brands and locations. This is a unique opportunity to use your plumbing expertise to mentor, lead, and make a lasting impact on technicians in the field.
In this role, you’ll guide new trainees and certified installers through a structured training curriculum that emphasizes technical mastery, communication, and exceptional customer service. Your hands-on experience and ability to coach others will be essential in setting high standards across our organization.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver training sessions using our established curriculum for both new hires and certified plumbing technicians

Conduct ride-alongs and facilitate hands-on technical training

Evaluate trainees weekly to track progress and identify improvement opportunities

Provide clear, constructive feedback and hold trainees to performance expectations

Collaborate with the training team to continually refine and enhance training materials

Support the Service and Maintenance departments as needed

Coordinate training schedules with hiring timelines

Lead or participate in plumbing and service team meetings

Conduct refresher and on-the-job training sessions

Assist in interviewing potential trainees and recommending candidates

Occasionally run service calls to demonstrate best practices in real-world scenarios

Qualifications

3–5 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial plumbing service and repair

Prior training or teaching experience preferred but not required

Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%

Strong communication and leadership skills

Comfortable coaching team members on technical work and customer engagement

Able to assess training needs and create or improve instructional materials

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) or similar programs

Excellent presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team
Physical Requirements

Must be comfortable working in field environments, including customer homes and outdoor job sites

Ability to stand or walk up to 8 hours per day on uneven terrain

Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing occasional manual labor

Regular movements such as bending, stooping, squatting, and overhead work

Must be able to clearly hear, speak, and see to perform training and field support
