Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for performing incoming inspections from receiving and the machine shop using a variety of gauges, including micrometers, calipers, test indicators, and height gauges, based on product drawings. You will conduct visual inspections against internal cosmetic specifications, document inspection results, label products, and perform daily checks of gauges.
Responsibilities
- Conduct incoming inspections using various gauges and product drawings.
- Perform visual inspections against internal cosmetic specifications.
- Document inspection results and label products according to requirements.
- Perform and document First Article Inspections.
- Participate in Material Review Board and perform disposition follow-up.
- Maintain inspection records and enter information into inspection logs.
- Inspect components and products against specified requirements.
- Assist in performing root cause analysis.
- Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Marketing for product quality issues.
- Ensure prompt and regular attendance.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience in quality inspection.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting complex mechanical drawings.
- Proficient in using inspection equipment such as micrometers, height gauges, test/dial indicators, calipers, and profilometers.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to read and interpret internal specifications and standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with AQL and quality control/assurance processes.

Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM. The role involves working with precision measuring tools and equipment in a structured environment, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.

This is a Contract position based out of Hillsboro, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $30.00/hr.
