Join our team as a Machine Operator in a dynamic food production environment. You will be responsible for operating production machinery and ensuring the quality of the products. This position requires strict adherence to safety and hygiene standards, including wearing a full gown and hair net, and avoiding any items that could contaminate the food. Your primary task will include producing tortillas for well-known companies in Minnesota.
Responsibilities
- Operate and verify the proper functioning of production equipment.
- Notify supporting departments of any equipment issues.
- Replace Mesh and Teflon belts safely and properly.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure correct product size and weight.
- Verify and confirm recipes, seasonings, weights, sizes, and settings according to ERP System (Plex) requirements.
- Accurately complete all production paperwork and maintain ERP System requirements.
- Record waste accurately and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Participate actively in Food Safety and Food Defense activities.
- Assist the sanitation department with equipment cleaning and reassembly.
Essential Skills
- Food production machine operating experience (Mixing experience preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficiency in computer skills for ERP system data entry.
- Commitment to consistent attendance and career advancement.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1-2 years' experience in operating production machinery, including equipment setups and adjustments.
- Basic English language skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift between 30-55 pounds consistently.
- Comfortable working in a warm environment that can reach up to 100 degrees.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 – $22.50/hr.
