Job Description
Job Title: Plant Accounting Manager
Location: Yukon, Oklahoma
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations at our manufacturing facility in Yukon, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting and will be responsible for managing financial reporting, inventory, internal controls, and company policies. This role reports directly to the Plant Accounting Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed weekly plant cost estimates, monthly reports comparing weekly estimates to actual general ledger balances, and financial presentations for upper management.

Operations Efficiency: Analyze variances to expected outcomes or operating standards and provide detailed operations efficiency and corresponding sales reporting.

General Ledger Management: Handle all general ledger duties, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance calculations, and research of any variances.

Budget and Capital Support: Provide accounting support related to budget, capital, processing improvements, and other operational analytics.

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, ensure correct inventory valuation, and identify opportunities for lower cost of manufacturing (LCM).

Compliance: Maintain all SOX controls and ensure all documentation requirements are complete and accurate.

Collaboration: Work closely with plant and corporate management to prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating reports, statistics, capital, and budget.
Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma, Associates Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is preferred.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze variances and provide detailed reports.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
