Job Description
- Conduct intakes in the morning (approximately 4-5 per day), each taking about 45 minutes
- Oversee outpatient treatment for opioid use disorder (OTP), including Methadone and Vivitrol administration
- Provide rounding and dosing services for patients throughout the day (approximately 15-minute sessions per patient)
- Average daily patient volume: 10-15
- APP support
- Communicate with medical doctors regarding any necessary medication changes
- Potential to work one day per month at a local correctional facility for dosing
- On-call duties one day per week (typically Thursdays)
- Participate in collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic, patient-centered care
- Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) required
- DEA certification required
- Addiction medicine experience strongly preferred, with experience in Methadone treatment highly desirable
- Ability to prescribe medications for opioid use disorder (including Methadone and Vivitrol)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS, ATLS, PALS certifications are a plus
- Corrections experience a plus (for work at the local jail once a month)
- Credentialing timeframe: 3 weeks to 1 month
- Schedule 1: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Schedule 2: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- On-call: 1 day per week, typically Thursdays, during working hours
- Market rates, commensurate with experience
- Location: Aliquippa, PA, close to Pittsburgh International Airport
- Patient Volume: 10-15 patients per day
- EMR: Training provided
- A laptop and cell phone will be provided for documentation if needed
- Must be comfortable working with opioid treatment protocols, including Methadone and Vivitrol
- Experience working in outpatient addiction medicine and with correctional facilities is a plus
- The facility may outsource psychiatric care for detox patients, either via telehealth or in-person
