RAC are on the lookout for a People Services Administrator to join our talented, friendly and fast-paced People team on a 6-month FTC.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take their first steps into HR/People Services. Whether you\'re a recent graduate, someone looking to pivot into a new career path, or simply eager to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment, this entry-level role offers the chance to build foundational skills in HR administration and onboarding.

As a People Team Administrator at the RAC, you\'ll play a key role in supporting the business, line managers, and employees across a variety of People Services activities. You’ll be involved in onboarding new joiners and providing general HR administrative support, helping to ensure a smooth and positive experience for our colleagues.

This position is a hybrid role with two days in the office and three days working from home.

Accountabilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Supporting our onboarding team by checking status updates and updating appropriate systems
  • Ensuring documentation is accurate and quality-checked
  • Assisting with data collation for monthly payroll
  • Producing referencing and amendment to contract letters for internal colleagues
  • Ad hoc administration support on a range of different initiatives

What you will need

We’re looking for someone with a strong customer focus and a genuine interest in people and HR. Experience working in an administration role previously is desired, but you don’t need prior HR experience—just the right attitude, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach. The RAC is a fast-paced, diverse organisation, so being organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working to deadlines will help you thrive.

You should be confident using Microsoft Office applications, especially Teams, Excel and Word (including mail merge), and be open to learning HR and payroll systems. Ideally, you would be comfortable working in a professional working environment providing office etiquette.
