This opportunity seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a vibrant K-12 school environment in Clarkston, Michigan. Focused on early childhood development, this full-time contract position involves working with 40 students aged 3 to 5 years. The role spans the entire school year, allowing for meaningful engagement and continuity in student progress.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for young children
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans targeting speech and communication goals
- Collaborating with educators and families to support student growth and generalization of skills
- Monitoring and documenting student progress to adjust therapy strategies accordingly
- Providing Speech-Language Pathology services aligned with best practices for pediatric and school settings
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in healthcare and pediatric settings
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
- Previous school-based therapy experience with children aged 3-5 years
