Located in Utica, NY, this part-time contract opportunity offers a specialty role within a K-12 school setting, serving a caseload of 23 students ranging from pre-kindergarten through 6th grade. The position runs from ASAP through June 17, 2025, with hours scheduled for two days per week, from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM, including occasional Friday meetings conducted via Zoom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine student needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Provide direct speech therapy services, utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with Special Education staff to support student success.
  • Prepare progress reports and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Advocate for students speech and language needs within the educational environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Connecticut SLP license is required.

  • California Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion or in process is desirable.
