Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Process bi-monthly payroll transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Handle union payroll, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
• Calculate garnishments and other deductions in accordance with legal requirements.
• Manage payroll for part-time student employees, including time card verification.
• Administer employee benefits and ensure proper payroll deductions.
• Prepare and submit IRS W-2 forms and other tax-related documentation.
• Set up payroll for new hires and ensure all necessary information is accurately recorded.
• Verify time cards and resolve discrepancies to ensure proper payment.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.• Proven experience in payroll processing, including union payroll and garnishments.
• Familiarity with IRS W-2 forms and tax deduction processes.
• Knowledge of benefits administration and payroll-related withholdings.
• Ability to accurately process bi-monthly payroll transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills for payroll discrepancies.
• Proficiency in managing payroll for diverse employee groups, including part-time students.
• Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Familiarity with onboarding processes for new employees.
