We are seeking skilled painters to prime, paint, and touch up vehicles using power spray equipment and brushes. This role involves masking, washing, conditioning parts, and performing light bodywork as needed. Painters will also disassemble, clean, repair, adjust, and reassemble painting equipment to ensure proper operation, flush tanks, hoses, and guns for color changeovers, mix paints for correct color and consistency, and apply decals and rust-proofing.
Responsibilities
- Prime, paint, and touch up vehicles using power spray equipment and brushes.
- Mask, unmask, or adjust masking as necessary to meet specifications.
- Perform cleaning and conditioning of parts as required.
- Disassemble, clean, repair, adjust, and reassemble painting equipment for optimal performance.
- Flush tanks, hoses, and guns prior to color changeovers.
- Mix all types of paints for proper color, formula, conditions, viscosity, and consistency.
- Apply decals, stencils, and rust-proofing as required.
- Maintain work area and equipment, including preventative maintenance tasks.
- Inspect products before, during, and after the paint process to ensure specifications are met.
- Transport, move, or guide parts, subassemblies, or assemblies during and after the paint process using material handling equipment such as forklifts or overhead cranes.
Essential Skills
- 6+ months of painting experience in automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47320.00 – $54912.00/yr.
Sign On Bonus: Eligible for full time employees
$1,500 Total
$500 @ 3 months of employment
$500 @ 6 months of employment
$500 @ 12 months of employment
