Job Description:
As an Occupational Therapist, you would provide effective and efficient rehabilitation to patients in a fast paced and dynamic setting. The occupational therapist accurately assesses and identifies deficits in a patient’s ability to perform activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) relative to physical, cognitive, and/or psychological impairments.
Develops an individualized treatment plan with patient-centered goals that will be accomplished by therapeutic interventions and the use of ADLs. This may include adaptation or modification of the environment or objects within the environment to facilitate engagement and participation.
Responsibilities:
- Performs patient assessment, treatment, discharge planning and collaboration with other health care providers.
- Documents patient care and billing information timely and in accordance with department standards.
- Communicates with co-workers, and other professionals, including physicians and nurses as needed to ensure optimal patient care.
- Functions as a team member in care of patients and in mentoring with other staff.
- Maintains clinical productivity standards.
- Maintains technical clinical expertise through ongoing clinical education.
- Participates in in-services, staff meetings, quality activities and aspects of program development.
- Maintains awareness of patient safety issues within the clinic and in the use of equipment. Assists in the maintenance of patient care equipment as needed.
- Participates in student education programs
- May have other duties assigned as needed.

Requirements:
- Occupational Therapy bachelor degree acquired from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) accredited program.
