Job Description
We are seeking anexperienced Emergency Medicine Medical Director to lead our Emergency Medicineteam in Oakdale, CA. This role provides the opportunity to guide a dedicatedteam of 6+ Emergency Medicine Physicians and 2.5 Advanced Practice Providers,ensuring excellence in patient care while maintaining a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadershipfor the Emergency Medicine team, fostering collaboration and quality care.
- Oversee the EmergencyDepartment's operations, ensuring adherence to clinical best practices.
- Maintain a clinical presencewith 12-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.),offering scheduling flexibility.
- Deliver emergency medicalcare in an acute care hospital with a 12-bed ED (all private rooms) and 4fast-track beds.
- Manage an annual patientvolume of 20,579 with an average of 2.1 patients per hour and a 4% admissionrate.
- Coordinate care withspecialists in anesthesiology, interventional radiology, cardiology, generalsurgery, mobile crisis psych, orthopedics, pediatrics, and wound care.
- Support the hospital’stransition to a Level 4 Trauma designation (expected 2025/2026).
