About the role:
Our Medical Billing Specialists start the process and simply put, submit claims for payment. This will include commercial, private and government insurances along with acute and chronic therapies to include IVIg, TPN’s and antibiotics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures accuracy and appropriateness of claim type, diagnosis codes, place of service, procedure codes, HCPC or NDC units for drugs, per diem, proper use of modifiers, and dates of service
- Certifies the accuracy and completeness of payer requirements prior to timely submission of clean claims
- Manages Billing queue status code to track unbilled delivery ticket(s) and maintains Reimbursement Pending Item Report
As a Medical Billing Specialist, you bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of HCPC, ICD-10 and CPT codes
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
