Job Description
Sunbelt Staffing is hiring an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Milwaukee, WI.Known for its vibrant cultural scene, historic architecture, and beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline, Milwaukee is a fantastic destination for travel nurses.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate and professional care to post-surgical, transplant recipient, and medical-surgical overflow patients.
- Perform advanced Med-Surg skills, including:
- Wound care, wound vacs, neuro checks, and trach management (T-mist mask).
- Incision care, chest tubes, drain/tube management, BiPap, and High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC).
- Post-surgical recovery and telemetry monitoring.
- IV insertion and maintenance, and management of titratable drips (e.g., insulin, heparin, morphine, Cardizem).
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in WI or compact state.
- Current BLS certification (AHA).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg RN experience with high-acuity patients.
- Proficiency in advanced Med-Surg procedures and technology.
- Prior experience with EPIC charting is preferred.
