Job Description
Join our team as a Mechanic Helper and play a vital role in servicing and repairing valves. You will use basic hand and air tools such as impact wrenches, air grinders, drills, and torches. Your responsibilities will include disassembling pumps and valves, providing mechanical assistance, and eventually performing assembly duties in power plants once trained.
Responsibilities
- Utilize basic hand and air tools including impact wrenches, air grinders, drills, and torches.
- Disassemble pumps and valves, providing mechanical assistance.
- Work in the field with a lead after training to perform assembly duties in power plants.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical aptitude and construction skills.
- At least 1 year of experience with hand and power tools.
- Experience in physical labor, military service, power tool usage, hand tool operation, installation, and service.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience using hand and power tools.
- 1+ year of experience in mechanical work, including automotive, service, or manufacturing.

Work Environment
Work in a shop environment that can get dirty and be prepared to travel. The role involves working in loud, dirty, industrial power plant environments when in the field. Flexibility is required, with typical work hours from 7AM to 3:30PM, and potential 12-hour days during outages. You may be on call some weekends.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 – $19.00/hr.
