About The Role

Join the RAC and become a pivotal part of our inspections team as a Vehicle Inspector. Whether you’re a newly qualified mechanic or an experienced technician, this role offers a unique opportunity to advance your automotive career within one of the UK's most trusted brands.

Shifts: Wed to Sun with 1 in 4 Mondays 8am-5:30pm. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK THIS EXACT SHIFT PATTERN.

As a Vehicle Inspector, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template.
  • Completing used vehicle condition reports.
  • Collaborating with team members to maintain daily site inspections.
  • Engaging with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery.

What we’re looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

  • An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
  • Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous).
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • A full UK driving licence.
