Job Description
Volt is immediately hiring a Machinist in Gonzales, Louisiana 70737
As a Machinist, you will be responsible for.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for personal safety and for the safety of others. Must maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
- Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture client parts to OEM print dimensions.
- Crosstrain on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow including but not limited to engine lathes, manual drills, horizontal bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC mills.
- Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.
- Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawings.
- Potential for field assignments using in-line machine. Some travel may be required.
- Adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations.
Location: Gonzales, Louisiana 70737
Duration: 6 Months contract
Shift : 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Range: $35.00/hr. – $37.00/hr.
