About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide specialized nursing care to an elementary school student in a 1:1 setting. The student requires tracheostomy and ventilator care and support during the school day, including acpanying the student on the school bus. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a child within the Bremerton munity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct tracheostomy and ventilator care to the student throughout the school day

• Monitor and manage the students respiratory equipment and health needs

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

• Ensure safety and well-being during bus rides, providing 1:1 support

• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers

• Maintain accurate and confidential health records in pliance with school policies

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Washington

• Current CPR certification (Healthcare Provider level)

• Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care strongly preferred

• Ability to perform nursing tasks independently and responsibly in a school setting

• Excellent munication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage medical emergencies calmly and effectively

• Must meet Washington state requirements for school nurses, including:

  • Holding a current and active LPN license issued by the Washington Nursing Care Quality Assurance mission

  • pletion of required health screenings and immunizations as per state guidelines

  • Background check clearance in accordance with Washington state school employment standards
