Kickstart your legal career with RAC! We’re looking for Legal Advisors to join our growing Legal Advisory team, providing expert guidance to RAC members and corporate partners across a wide range of private law matters. This is a fantastic first step into the legal profession, especially if you’re looking to build a successful long‑term law career. Many of our colleagues and advisors have gone on to exciting paths, including qualifying as solicitors and barristers!

You’ll get exposure to various aspects of law including:

  • Advanced Property Law
  • Employment Law
  • Wills & Probate
  • Family Law
  • Contract Law
  • Criminal Motoring Law
  • Tort Law

Salary: up to £28,000 depending on experience and legal knowledge.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide accurate legal advice by phone and email across core areas of private law.
  • Apply RAC LS policies and products with clarity and precision.
  • Handle escalated complaints professionally within agreed service levels.
  • Log calls and activities using case management systems.
  • Support the department with training, legal research, and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA, Data Protection Act, and other regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Need

  • Law graduate (LLB + postgraduate qualification desirable such as LPC/LSF, LLM, or BVC) or equivalent legal/insurance qualification.
  • Experience in customer‑facing roles or call centre environments (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Expertise in foundation areas of law: Contract, Civil Litigation, Tort, Personal Injury, Statutory Liability.
  • Desirable: knowledge of motoring law or advanced areas such as Employment, Property, Family, or Wills & Probate.
  • Ability to prioritise, manage workloads, and meet deadlines.
