Do you have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent, at least 2 years of experience in technical, electrical, and diagnostic roles, and a full UK driving licence? Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician and help keep the UK moving.

A market‑competitive base salary of £41,600 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance), and a realistic on‑target earnings of £66,000. Flexible demand‑led shifts, averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime. Work in the Barnet cluster, covering areas such as Barnet, Finchley, Totteridge, Whetstone, Hendon, and Golders Green – start and finish each day at home. Your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit are all provided.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
  • Handle a wide range of tasks – from flat batteries and tyre changes to complex fault‑finding – and provide quick, confident solutions.
  • Maintain outstanding member service and reassurance during roadside incidents.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of post‑qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
  • Customer‑focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence.
