Job Description

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings (e.g., offices, retail stores, schools, warehouses).

Bend and install electrical conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC) using hand and hydraulic benders.

Run and secure conduit systems to support wiring plans and layouts.

Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams.

Ensure work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and company standards.

Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for repair.

Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.

Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools.

Install circuit breakers, panels, lighting systems, switches, outlets, and other electrical components.

Collaborate with contractors, construction crews, and project managers to complete installations on time and within budget.

May oversee and provide guidance to Electrician Apprentices, ensuring proper techniques, safety practices, and code compliance.
