Job Description
As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, refrigeration, and building pump systems. You will troubleshoot both high and low voltage electrical issues within HVAC and refrigeration systems. You will also be tasked with installing HVAC and refrigeration equipment in accordance with industry standards and local codes, ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely, and meet code requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Ensure systems are installed according to code and company standards
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet deadlines
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean work environment
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of HVAC installation experience preferred
- EPA Certification (Type I & II or Universal) required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives): programming, troubleshooting, and error code resolution.
- Understanding of cooling tower, chiller, and boiler loops and their temperature requirements.
- Must own and be proficient with ohm meters, amperage meters, refrigerant gauges, vacuum gauges, battery drills, pipe wrenches, and basic hand tools.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $45.00/hr.
