Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician. As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and at least 2 years of technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience, you will keep drivers back on the road. You will work from your driveway, with demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime.
Where you’ll work:
- You will be part of the Luton cluster, covering Luton, Dunstable, Houghton Regis, Harpenden, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Tring, Amersham, Rickmansworth, and Chorleywood.
What you’ll need:
- A Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
- A customer-focused approach
- A full UK driving licence
Responsibilities:
You will deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. The role includes flat-battery service, tyre change, fault finding, and other roadside assistance tasks.
