Job Description
Salary: $16-18/hr based on experience
General Duties – mechanical skills with hand and basic power tools, experience with metal fabrication
• Produce metal forms and objects
• Reconstruct damaged articles of various metals and alloys
• Use hand tools, fixtures, jigs, and clamps for small welding jobs
• Cut metal using a torch
• Follow diagrams or sketches
• Weld and fuse various metals to withstand strength demands while avoiding
distortion
• Regulate equipment for the work performed
• Use the following welding processes that may include shielded metal arc,
flux-cored arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, metal inert gas, gas shielded
flux metal cored, and metal active gas method
