Job Description
This role involves starting in the grinding department, where you will use a hand grinder to smooth out rough edges and polish metal to a fine finish. You will cross-train into basic fabrication tasks, which include cutting metal to length using a tape measure, brake press operation, spot welding, buffing, and racking for paint. Additionally, you will provide support in other departments such as assembly, packaging, and paint as needed.
Responsibilities
- Use hand grinder to smooth and polish metal surfaces.
- Cross-train in basic fabrication tasks such as cutting metal and operating brake press.
- Perform spot welding and buffing tasks.
- Assist with racking metal for painting.
- Provide support in assembly, packaging, and paint departments.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical aptitude gained through previous work experience, school, or hobbies.
- Experience with sheet metal and grinding.
- Proficient in using a tape measure and basic math for measurements.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 6 months of manufacturing experience.
- Tape measure reading experience.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Shop classes in welding, automotive, woodworking, or machine/tool.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.84 – $22.09/hr.
