Job Description
Salary: $25 /hr DOE
Seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Fabricator. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing parts for heavy industrial equipment, including yarders and Wagners, ensuring that all work meets high-quality standards and adheres to safety regulations. You will work with a team of professionals to provide custom solutions for our clients while maintaining a commitment to excellence in every task.
Pay: Determined Based on Experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication: Perform welding, cutting, and shaping of metal components for the assembly and repair of industrial equipment, such as yarders and log stackers.
- Repairs: Conduct repairs and modifications to existing machinery, ensuring that all components function properly and meet safety standards.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise fabrication.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all fabricated parts and repairs meet industry standards and company specifications. Perform inspections to ensure structural integrity and performance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication tools and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Custom Solutions: Provide innovative and customized fabrication solutions for clients, ensuring the highest quality service.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an industrial fabricator or welder, ideally within the heavy machinery or industrial equipment sector.
- Expertise in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) and fabrication methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of metalworking, including cutting, bending, shaping, and assembly of metal components.
- Experience with heavy equipment, such as yarders, Wagners, and other industrial machinery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in an industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in welding or a related field.
- Experience with CNC machines or other advanced fabrication equipment.
- Experience in a fabrication shop that specializes in heavy machinery or industrial equipment.
- Aluminum welding a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in a variety of positions for extended periods of time.
