Job Description
Position Title: Echo Technologist
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technologist to join our outpatient cardiology team in the Bronx. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms, including transthoracic and stress echocardiograms, to assist in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:

Perform diagnostic echocardiograms, including transthoracic and stress echocardiograms, on patients.

Assist in transesophageal echocardiograms and echo-guided invasive procedures as needed.

Prepare preliminary reports and transmit studies to the cardiology team.

Maintain and operate echocardiography equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.

Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing concerns.

Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and students as required.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in cardiovascular technology or related field preferred.
- Graduate of cardiovascular sonography program
- Ultrasound registration as an RDMS as well as current BLS certification are required.
- One to two years’ experience in echocardiography
- Able to start as soon as possible
