Driver Responsibilities
- Operate diesel-powered tractor-trailers for store deliveries
- Follow pre-set routes to local/regional store locations
- Load and unload product at delivery sites with assistance from store staff
- Inspect trucks before and after trips and report vehicle condition
- Maintain accurate driver logs and records per DOT and company standards
- Practice safe driving and load securement procedures
- Perform backhauls as needed upon return from route
- Work in a variety of weather conditions and cold environments (cooler/freezer)
- Uphold company safety, cleanliness, and performance standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Certification
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Ability to lift and handle cases weighing 50-75 lbs
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers
- Willingness to work variable schedules including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to enter and exit tractor units frequently and operate in tight spaces
- Must speak and read English per FMCSA regulations to interact with the public, respond to inquiries, and maintain accurate records
