Driver Responsibilities

  • Operate diesel-powered tractor-trailers for store deliveries
  • Follow pre-set routes to local/regional store locations
  • Load and unload product at delivery sites with assistance from store staff
  • Inspect trucks before and after trips and report vehicle condition
  • Maintain accurate driver logs and records per DOT and company standards
  • Practice safe driving and load securement procedures
  • Perform backhauls as needed upon return from route
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions and cold environments (cooler/freezer)
  • Uphold company safety, cleanliness, and performance standards

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Ability to lift and handle cases weighing 50-75 lbs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers
  • Willingness to work variable schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to enter and exit tractor units frequently and operate in tight spaces
  • Must speak and read English per FMCSA regulations to interact with the public, respond to inquiries, and maintain accurate records
