Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experiencedDirector of Nursing for Behavioral Health to lead nursing operations, clinicalquality, and professional development within our behavioral health department.This leadership position is responsible for setting and maintaining nursingpractice standards, driving quality improvement, overseeing staffing andeducation, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Behavioral Health nursing division
- Identify, implement, monitor, and evaluate nursing standards of care and evidence-based practices
- Lead departmental quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Manage all Human Resources activities including hiring, evaluation, and retention of staff
- Develop and oversee educational programs to support staff development and clinical excellence
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations and policies
- Foster a culture of safety, empathy, accountability, and patient-centered care
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing – BSN required
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field required
- Exceptional experience in lieu of education will be considered
