Job Description
We areseeking an experienced Director of Nursing for the Emergency Department to leadand manage clinical operations, nursing standards, and quality improvementinitiatives. This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of PatientCare Services/CNO and is responsible for overseeing all nursing practices,human resource activities, and educational programs within the EmergencyDepartment.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing standards of practice to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Oversee operational quality improvement initiatives within the Emergency Department.
- Manage all human resources functions, including recruitment, training, performance management, and staff development.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Lead educational and professional development programs for nursing staff.
- Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSNrequired).
· Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field ORa minimum of 10 years of relevant administrative/supervisory experience.
· Doctorate preferred.
· Minimum10 years of nursing experience.
