About The Role
RAC are on the lookout for an experienced Data Visualisation Specialist to join our Operations Forecasting & Planning team on permanent basis.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Data Lead to design and implement a modern data architecture using Snowflake and Power BI, playing a key part in our data transformation journey. You’ll be responsible for developing interactive, business driven dashboards that bring data to life and support strategic decision‑making.
With a keen eye for improvement, you’ll proactively seek out opportunities to enhance our reporting processes and visualisation techniques. You’ll also support the migration of data processes from SQL Server to Snowflake, and lead the transition of all reporting into Power BI, helping to retire tools such as Excel and other outdated sources.
We’re looking for someone with a strong data visualisation background with experience of data modelling techniques, who’s proficient in SQL, PowerBI.
This role will be a hybrid role, where you will spend two days in our Salford offices, and three days at home.

What you’ll do
- Produce accurate dashboards, reports and datasets across Operations, including Roadside and Contact Centres.
- Review and optimise dashboards, reports and processes, making any recommendations to improve.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure all dashboards and outputs are used effectively and maximum value is obtained.
- Share best practice across colleagues in the Forecasting & Planning team, and stakeholders.
- Data governance including; Data and metrics catalogues, version control of scripts and dashboards in Sharepoint and/or Azure DevOps, documentation of all supporting processes.
What you’ll need
The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a data visualisation role. Strong accuracy & attention to detail, organisational and communication skills are essential for this role.
You will also have:
- Strong SQL skills and experience using SQL Server.
- Excellent working knowledge of Power BI, including developing reports and dashboards, semantic models, Power Query/M and DAX.
- Experience in ETL/ELT and data transformation using Alteryx, or other similar data tools.
- Experience of data modelling techniques.
- Experience of data governance techniques and version control.
- Experience supporting colleagues and stakeholders to use reports and data tools.
- Basic knowledge of Python, Azure DevOps and SharePoint.
- Highly numerate with strong analytical & problem‑solving skills.
- Able to juggle competing priorities.
- Experience using Snowflake (desirable).
