Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division – a new era of mobile repair.
Salary: base £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000. Guaranteed overtime available. 40 hrs/week, core 8:30–5:00, 1 in 4 Saturdays.
Locations (South West): Bournemouth, Bridgwater, Bristol, Exeter, Newton Abbot, Southampton, Taunton, Torquay.
What to Expect: Our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division delivers planned, structured repair and servicing directly to members, from driveways to workplace car parks. No emergency callouts or unpredictable shift patterns. You'll work scheduled jobs with time, tools and support for quality work.
Responsibilities:
- Routine servicing
- Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
- In‑depth repairs normally done in a workshop
- Provide member advice based on inspection
- Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

Qualifications:
