Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician. As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least two years post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience, you’ll work on your own driveway – demand‑led shifts averaging 40 hours per week with optional overtime available.
Compensation
Base salary: £36,400 per year, with realistic OTE of £61,000. Top performers can earn significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.

- Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
- Handle flat batteries, tyre changes and complex fault‑finding to provide quick and confident solutions and reassurance to members.
